1 CONSTRUCTION OF HUHEHAOTE-ZHUNGEER RAILWAY LINE AND SOIL AND WATER CONVERSATION
RAN Long-hua
Huhehaote-Zhungeer Railway Line is located at west central part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with total length of 117 km for newly built track. Landform type is complex and variable in the region, with serious soil erosion by water and wind and weak ecologic environment. This paper analyses the problem about loss of soil and water caused by building the line, explores the issue of soil and water conversation, and proposes the main work and measures for soil and water conversation in design and construction.

6 EXPLORATION ON SPEEDING UP THE CONSTRUCTION OF SINGAPORE -LASA MAIN RAILWAY TRUNK LINE FOR THE PAN ASIAN RAILWAY

The paper expounds the positive meanings on speeding up the construction of Singapore-Lasa main trunk line for the Pan Asian Railway. Combined with speeding up the construction of Shanghai-Lasa railway, the rapid development of West China and the close communications with the Middle, East, South and North China may be promoted. While the rapid international railway through transport may be realized, so that the communication, exchange and cooperation desires and requirements concerned with policy, education, culture and physical activities, trade and tourist may be fulfilled.

12 MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF TRACK ON SPEED- RISING RAILWAY LINE

This paper analyses and describes the technical conditions and main factors of restricting speed rising on existing line, such as track curve and switch point, presents reconstruction scheme for the problem mentioned above based on an example of speed rising on existing line of 435 km on Beijing-Haerbin Railway Line, and proposes that the effective measures should be adopted for improving management and maintenance level of track after speed rising.

This paper gives an introduction to the selection of construction scheme for arch box, design of hoisting and fastening system, measures for laterally stabilizing arch rib and simulative analysis of structure of the bridge and describes the construction technique for hoisting and closing large-span and mufti-arch rib on single base.

42 CALCULATING ON LENGTH OF OBLIQUE CULVERT AT CIR- CULAR CURVE BY SPACE ANALYSIS METHOD

In previous method for calculating culvert length, first, the plane is analyzed, then the calculation formula is found out. In this way, the derivation processes of formula are complex and the error in calculation result is great because there are lots of factors influencing on culvert length and the factors also restrict each other. This paper presents simplified and accurate calculation formula of calculating culvert length by adopting space analysis method, gives an example of calculation, for reference to the design.

As the development of mobile telecommunication, GPRS and Internet technology is introduced to realize the Wide Area Information ntelligentization of SCADA system. GPRS technology can greatly improve the qualities of opening, visualization, decentralization, mobility, and high-speed data/image transportation in SCADA system. It also realized the interconnection of Internet and wireless telecommunication network. This paper is about the discussion of GPRS and its application in SCADA system, especially in railway power system. The experiments showed that, this plan is feasible.
