In the research works on electrification reform engineering project of Tianjun-Qinhuangdao-Shenyang Railway, there were multi-opinions concerned with the problem having the necessity of reform the down direction system at Shanhaiguan Station for enlarging its capacity or not. From several aspects concerned with traffic organization, formation of car flow, capacity of station,etc, the paper analyzes the existing problems in which the down direction system should not be reformed and its solving scheme,so as to explain the necessity of its reform.

Accompanied with the rapid development of unban rail transit in home,the problems of vibration and noise pollution produced during operation became more and more conspicuous. The paper describes briefly the necessity of decreasing vibration and reducing noise in metro, as well as the types of anti-vibration track adopted in foreign countries in the world. The design of anti-vibration track with floating plate and its application in Guangzhou Metro are introduced emphatically also in this paper.

The urban railway transit of our country is now in a rapid developing period, but we are lack of a perfect institution system about it. Japan is one of the countries with the most developed urban railway transit system in the world. This paper introduces the Japanese institutions about financing, tax system, and ground exploitation along the railway line in the constructions of urban railway transit. This will be helpful in formulating the institutions of our urban railway transit constructions. According to the situation of our country, some corresponding suggestions are presented.

TUDY AND PRACTICE OF HIGH-SPEED HEAVY RAIL WELDABILITY OF QINSHEN DEDICATED PASSENGER LINE

High-speed railway asks for strict criteria of chemical composition, physical mechanics and size deviation of rails. It also asks for superior quality of welding joint of the CWR on extra long seamless tracks. The paper,based on great number of tests carried out for rail butt weld technology, studies the weldability of high-speed heavy type mould casting PD3 steel rail made by Panzhihua Steel Mill and the gang-mould casting PD3 60 kg/m steel rail made by AnshanSteel Mill. The study has improved the quality of the rails to meet with the technical requirement of the Standard of Rail Welding Industry and the Technical Specifications of 200 km/h Rails of MOR. The random check of welds in the production base shows that the quality of weld is reliable and the property is stable.

COMPARISON INVESTIGATION ON WHEEL/RAIL INTERACTION BY CHANGING THE LATERAL STIFFNESS OF THE CURVED TRACK

According to the characteristic of wheel/rail interaction in the railway tracks,this paper establishes a simple lateral track model under lateral shock force. Based on a series of hypothesis, the program of wheel/rail dynamic interaction has been worked out depending on MATLAB Simulink?.. The dynamic effect of the rail fastener as well as the ballast lateral stiffness on the transverse vibration characteristics of wheel/rail system and rail wears on curved track are investigated as they have been varied. The results show that the Wheel/rail interaction would be improved and rail wears could be alleviated through selecting rational parameter of curved track.

LINEAR ANALYSIS OF INTERACTION FOR FLEXIBLE GROUPED PILES AND SOIL UNDER RIGID CAP

Based on linear load deliver function to pile-side soil and pile-end soil, and considering influence of sharing load of the pile-side soil on load deliver law of piles, Using mechanics theory and approximate solution method-district method of differential equation, approximation analytical formulas of interaction for the flexible grouped piles and soil are derived under rigid cap. The maximal pile-side friction force of central pile show up in pile-end, the maximal pile-side friction force of edge pile and angle pile show up near pile-top, under rigid cap.The pile-top counter force of the angle pile is the biggest,the edge pile is the second,the central pile is the smallest. To verifying the reliability of the proposed method, the results of the model test are compared with the results in this paper. contrast snunciation; the proposed method has good precision.

Karat is a geological phenomenon that is usually encountered in tunnel construction. It could lead to water spraying and mud flowing from excavation face and deformation, cracking and collapse of ground and lining. Therefore, it will affect the construction speed,jeopardize the safety of construction and spoil the environment. 1n this paper, the principle of treatment for the karat is presented and the methods of dealing with the karat are discussed for different type of karst. Moreover, the construction practice is introduced.

By applying the method of mechanics and combined with the construction situation of railway tunnels, the analysis on the loading situation of the structure of the formworked concrete lining in the single track railway tunnel with the surrounding rock of above IV class has been put forward, and the comparisons with the actual situation of cracks on the tunnel lining are put forward also in this paper. The courses of producing mi-cro-racks on tunnel lining are expounded, and the suggestions to avoid producing cracks are proposed.

Wuxiaoling tunnel during double-tracking of Lanzhou-Wuwei section in Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway with a total length of 20. 050 km will be the longest tunnel in China. The paper introduces the geological situations of the tunnel. Combined with several successful examples in home and abroad in which the TBM was adopted for tunnels' construction,the feasibility of adopting TBM to construct Wuxiaoling tunnel and the reasonableness of its design are expounded in this paper. It will provide powerful guarantee and a foundation for the construction of Wuxiaoling tunnel.

The practices show that the complete setting and selection process of construction machinery for Qin-Shen railway linewas very scientific, and the complete setting of machinery was advanced and with high efficiency. It provides experience on complete setting of construction machinery for large- scale engineering project in the future.

EFFECT ON METALLOGRAPHIC ORGANIZATION AND MECHANICS PROPERTIES OF WELDING RAIL. JOINTS BY FLAME NORMALIZING

The flame normalizing treatments were put forward on steel rail with flash welding, gas pressure welding and aluminium heat welding. At the same time, the comparisons of metallographic organizations and mechanics properties among the normalized rail, non-normalized rail and steel rail themselves were put forward also. The results show that through the flame normalizing treatment, the original austenitic crystalline grains maybe fined obviously,the percentage elongation and the shock efficiency of rail joints with flash welding, gas pressure welding and aluminium heat welding may be raised, and the tensile strength of rail joints with aluminium heat welding may be enlarged obviously. And by the flame normalizing, the requirements of TB/T1632-1991 on the mechanics properties may be obtained for the rail joints with flash welding and gas pressure welding?

During construction of the major dam of a reservoir, a new construction technique was adopted by using the micro-expansive concrete with MgO mixed outside, in which the heat due to hydration was reduced. The high piers over 100 m of the Lizigou extra-major bridge on the Neijiang-Kunming Railway were constructed under the special environments of highland, strong wind and cold winter.
