STUDY ON THE FORECAST OF PASSENGER TRAFFIC VOLUME OF HIGH-SPEED RAILWAYS

It was already drawn the great attention of many experts and scholars to build high-speed railways with Chinese features. The first problem should be solved in the study on building high- speed railways is the forecast of the passanger traffic volume . In this arti?cle ,the author has put forward the methods of the different degree estimation of passager traffic volume of high-speed railways by applying the traffic behaviour theory after analysing the factors in connection with the basic year pattern and passenger traffic volume,and also introduced his forecast thinkings and methods including computer programs based on the fea?sibility study of building Beijing to Shanghai High-speed Railway.

DISCUSSION ON RAILWAY PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPING STRATEGY IN CHINA

This paper,from the height of railway development strategy,describes the great prospect of rail passenger transport development and the necessity of strengthening the transport planning work based on the analysis and demonstration of the actual situation and conditions in China, railway transportation characteristic, current level of rail passenger transport volume,and influence of highway expansion to the railway ? The paper suggests that a dynamic forecast of passenger flow should be made, the running scheme of passenger trains should be compiled and the reasonable matching with the speed,density and weight of the passenger train should be studied as well. It is suggested that the management of capital investment should also be strengthened in order to ensure a continuous development of the railway.

DERIVING NEW SURVEYING WAY OF THE SPIRAL ——THE COORDINATE WAY FROM INTERCHANGE RAMP

In traditional surveyings,there are usually the deviation angle way,the offset way,the polar coordinate way,etc, to survey the spiral. According to the shortcomings of the above-mentioned ways,the writer start with the special spiral of Long-Yao Interchange Ramp of the No. 107 national highway (irregular spiral and no datum points) with combine the using SOKKIA SET2C— 2 Intelligent Total Station (which can directly lay out the point from the coordinate) with and the SHARP pocket computer PC—E500. On the basis of the theory of the deviation angle way,the writer go a step further to inquire into the new survey?ing way of the spiral.

The coordinate method,which is a new method with computer process for measur?ing and setting the curves,is introduced. The entire measuring and setting works may be ac?complished by laying the mirror inside or outside of curve at arbitrary point, so that the ac?cumulated error by traditional measuring method and the limitation of mirror laying point may be a voided, and thus the curve measurement may become rapid and accurate. It is espe?cially suitable for measuring subgrade,track and bridge on the curve.

APPLICATION OF INDUSTRIAL SLAG IN THE SUBSTRUCTURE OF HEAVY-LOADED RAIL TRACK

As to the heavy-loaded railway under the special load of 40t/axle, the liquid iron transport railway of Maanshan Iron Steel Co. is the second one at home following that of Baoshan Iron Steel Co. ? It is for the first time in our country that the oozy foundation of which has been successfully treated by the use of grading material such as blast furnace slag etc. A series of testing to the blast furnace slag,steel slag and cinder ash, added with the testing to the experimental section,has indicated that the physical and chemical property of the aforesaid material is stable, and the strength, abrasion, mechanical character after artifi?cial grading and the maximum dry volume density of which has fully met and overtopped the requirements of the design. Therefore it is a kind of high quality filling material for strength?ening subgrade bed. And the thickness of subgrade bed has been explored as well。

APPLICATION OF DIRECT-BURNING BROMITE-COOLED EN~ GINE IN CENTRAL AIR-CONDITIONER DESIGN

In view of the characteristics that the Railway Restaurant is located in the city commercial centre, permitting no boiler room, and that Taiyuan is abund ant in lowpriced coal gas resources, we’ve simulated four feasible schemes to solve the problem of the cool and heat sources of the central air-conditioner. From the comprehensive comparison among energy consumption, initial investment, maintenance, safety and other aspects in the four schemes, we choose to adopt the scheme of the direct-burning bromite-cooled engine (by burning the city coal gas〉,which is not only simple in system design,rational and feasible in economy, but also practical and spread worthwhile.

In the light of the pre?sent cases,he points out that many contractors can not suffice their argument, complete their informations and act with apractised technique only to make no amends for their right behavior. Meanwhile, he stresses that more and more contractors and employers come to think high of the claiming damage that can get outstanding ecnomical returns just with a litle input.

STUDY ON APPLICATION OF HIGH DENSITY RESISTIVITY METHOD IN PROSPECTING GEOLOGICAL DISEASES OF THE RAILWAY BED

In this paper, the basic principle, working process and application technique of the high density resistivity method have been discussed. According to the characteristics of the geological structure of the railway bed, a new measurement scheme of the high density resistivity and its data processing-plotting software system are developed. Results of the fi?nite element numerical modelling and the field test for typical geological diseases of the rail?way bed show that the new method is a precise, effective and convenient technique in detect?ing geological diseases of the railway bed.
