Research on Model for Automatic Acquiring Alluvial Fan Information From TM Images

Research purposes: The alluvial fan has its unique remote sensing characteristics of the color,texture and brightness in the remote sensing image. As the alluvial fan area is the soft soil distribution area,it is one of the important influence factors of the project. The remote sensing interpretation is an important work of using the image to determine the distribution of alluvial fan for guiding the selection of project location. The traditional alluvial fan interpretation regards the visual interpretation as the dominant fact with the features of low speed,long time and much work to be done and it can not meet the demand of the rapid development of the railway and highway. Based on the analysis and research on the topographical characteristics and the remote sensing image characteristics of the alluvial fan,the model for automatic acquiring alluvial fan information from TM images is established to rapidly acquire the alluvial fan from the images with algorithm for guiding the track alignment.
Research conclusions: Based on the remote sensing mechanism of the alluvial fan,the model for remotely automatic acquiring the integrated alluvial fan information on the lluvial fan,the vegetation index and topographical data is established to rapidly and effectively acquire the alluvial fan information from the sensing images and realize automation of remote sensing interpretation of the alluvial fan.

Study on Application of Ultra - low Frequency Ground Penetrating Radar in Karst Exploration

Research purposes: The high and middle - low frequency ground penetrating radars have been widely used in the testing engineering quality and detecting shallow karst and the karst cave,but detecting the deeper karst cave( 15 ~40 meters) needs lower frequency ground penetrating radar in the stage of survey and design. The research on application of the combined antenna of the ultra - low frequency radar shows the ultra - low frequency radar can be used for detecting the deeper karst cave in some special cases by changing the combined frequency to make up the deficiency of the electrical prospecting.
Research conclusions: The electrical prospecting method is poor in detecting in the hard ground or rugged terrain,so the method of ultra - low combined frequency ground penetrating radar could be substituted for the normal electrical prospecting in this condition,and it could improve the precision and efficiency in the exploration of karst roadbed. The jamming characteristic of different radar echoes under the different site conditions is analyzed and the rational method is found,achieving the good results in the practical application of karst cave exploration.

A Method of Judging Main Wind Direction for Railway Survey and Design in the Desert Areas

Research purposes: Our country has many railways across the desert areas,in order to guarantee the safety of railway operation,all kinds of control project is essential. When we design the railway protection project against sand and wind,the main direction of wind is especially important. In reality,the meteorological data in a lot of the desert of railway traversing areas is not comprehensive,so we can't know the local main direction of the wind. This paper get a method to judge the main wind direction through the analysis of dunes form and direction along the railway for sand and wind prevention project design.
Research conclusions: This paper get a method to judge the main wind direction through the analysis of dunes form and direction along the railway. On the basis of determining of dunes from and direction we get a conclusion that the main wind blow from slope against wind to another. Take the Taklimakan desert as an example to prove that the method is very useful for building the new railway and protection project against sand and wind. In addition,the wind speed also influent the form of sand dunes,the detailed relationship need the further research.

Research on Formation Mechanism of Sanjiadi Loess Seismic Landslide in Longnan City

Research purposes: The 5?12 Wenchuan earthquake caused a big loss to the people's lives and property.There will be secondary geological disasters period within 10 years after the earthquake. Among the disasters,the landslide is one of the most extensive and harmful disasters. The correct understanding of the landslide formation mechanism caused by earthquake is the base and basis for control of the disaster.
Research conclusions: It is concluded that for the Sanjiadi seismic landslide in Longnan city,the slowly inclined structure of the loess mudstone interbedding is the internal factors of producing the landslide,its location in the joint zone of two structure is the internal power of producing the landslide,the abnormal development of debris flow is the main external factor of producing the landslide,and the coupling of seismic wave propagation direction with slope body stress field direction,the coupling of the seismic wave with the loess micro - structure and the coupling of seismic wave with groundwater anomalies are the factors of inducing the seismic loess landside. The proposal is made for control of the landslide according to formation mechanism. It has a certain guiding significance to the understanding of the formation mechanism of earthquake,the effective reduction of the secondary disasters induced by earthquake and the promotion of the post - disaster reconstruction work.

Test and Analysis of Dynamic Character of Chemical Improved Soil of Argillaceous Siltstone for Subgrade of High - speed Railway

Research purposes: The chemical improved soil of weathered argillaceous siltstone was used as the filling material of the subgrade of the Wuhan - Guangzhou High - speed Railway. The smooth and safe running of the high -speed train need the sub - rail support system with small settlement,high stiffness and stable dynamic characteristics. In order to research the dynamic characters of the chemical improved soil subgrade of weathered argillaceous siltstone,the dynamic test components were placed in the test section to test the dynamic chatacters of the chemical improved soil subgrade of weathered argillaceous siltstone when the CRH3 EMU runs at the speed over 300 km/h.
Research conclusions: The dynamic test result showed that the chemical improved soil of weathered argillaceous siltstone could be as the filling material of the subgrade of high - speed railway when it had good compression strength and compactness. It is dynamic responses characteristics were similar to the subgrade of A、B groups fillings and fit the dynamic characters of the ballastless track system.

Analysis of Engineering Effect of Heat Safeguard in Permafrost Regions along Qinghai - Tibet Railway

Research purposes: We matured the protecting of the permafrost in construction of the Qinghai - Tibet railway. We adopt some key technices at heat fense measure to roadbed,for example thermal probes,rubble revetment,and crushed rock embankment and so on. The paper researched the ground temperature of such roadbed new structure of Qinghai - Tibet Railway. Through calculating of the ground temperature we obtain corresponding the maximum thawed depth. Through comparative analysis of the maximum thawed depth, the paper researches the measure’s effect at protecting permafrost and the safety of the railway.
Research conclusions: The paper based on the analysis of the data concludes that the heat fense measure can minish maximum thawed depth under shoulder. The applying of the roadbed new structure can protect permafrost,debase ground temperature and make the roadbed stabilization.

Application of Self - locking Fender Pile in Deep Water Foundation

Research purposes: For the problem of the deep water foundation encountered in construction of the Yellow River bridges in Lanzhou area,this paper discusses taking what kind of the measures that can safeguard the excavation and waterproof of the deep foundation,analyzes the applied conditions,advantages and disadvantages of of the various engineering measures taken for the similar projects in the past,and offers a though of taking the self - locking boring nest pile as the protection structure of the foundation.
Research conclusions: As a new type of foundation protection structure,it makes the full use of the geological conditions to take the reinforced concrete pile as the vertical support beam,and uses the level bound of the foundation rock on the pile bottom end and the level bound on the periphery beam of the fore shaft on the pile top end to form a stable self -locking support system to avoid making the support system in every steps during the foundation excavation. The plain concrete pile and reinforced concrete pile are nested to form a water - stop curtain to fully stop the water that is not achieved by the boring piles. In this way,the boring cast pile is used as the support structure and at the same time as the water - stop curtain to overcome the problems of the poor waterproof property and low safety,and at the same time it effectively cuts the construction cost.

Research on Shaking Table Test of Pile - type Retaining Wall for Embankment

Research purposes: According to the Bockingham π theorem,the model of the shaking table of pile - type retaining wall was designed for the embankment of one railway in the southwest Chin. By the shaking table test,the analysis of the displacement responses laws of pile - type retaining wall to the earthquake acceleration was made to get the dynamic response laws of the pile under the effect of earthquake and check the anti - seismic effect of reinforcing the high - slope embankment for the purpose of providing the basis for analysis and evaluation of the anti - seismic stability of the pile - type structure of the embankment.
Research conclusions: The horizontal displacement peak of the pile top and the dynamic strain peak of the pile body increased; with the increase of the acceleration. The maximum dynamic stress of the pile appeared in and under the boundary surface. There was a difference in the vibration direction between the upper and the lower boundary surfaces in vibration process. Under the seismic condition,adding the reinforcement could effectively reduce the dynamic effect of soil on the anchor pile. The pile - type retaining wall structure had a good anti - seismic property and met the anti -seismic design demand of the engineering in the high seismic intensity zone.

Integrity Testing of Anti - slide Pile for Railway in Mountain Area and Analysis of Causes for Pile Fracture

Research purposes: The acoustic wave scenography or reflection wave method was used to test the integrity of the anti - slide pile in sandstone or mudstone stratum. The test results showed the pile - fracture characteristics of the apparent low sound speed and repeated reflection of the reflected waves occurred to a number of piles in the same elevation. The verification of the excavation and core - drilling showed the piles were broken. So it was necessary to research the reasons for the the pile fracture and how to prevent the pile fracture.
Research conclusions: The cause for the anti - slide pile fracture was the manual excavation and blasting when conducting the anti - slide pile to easily make some massifs in the deepest area where was the first to bore unstable and slide because the the places where the piles fractured were of the weak soft layers and their inclination of the fissure surfaces were basically with the that of the inclined slope of massif. Therefore,to avoid the anti - slide pile fracture in the construction,the small diameter (Φ= 20 cm) bore core would be used to form pore time and again and gradually form the rectangle pile pore,and at the same time the intervals anti - slide pile would be conducted. Namely,the second batch of the interval anti - slide pile would be conducted after 28 days that the concrete pouring to the first batch of the interval anti - slide pile was finished.

Optimal Design of Temporary Water Bridge and Platform Located in Artificial Covering Layer

Research purposes: By analyzing the depth into the rock of artificial covering layer and the overall stability of structure under different boundary conditions,and providing an optimal design method that is used to temporary water bridge and platform in the condition of deepwater’s bare rock bed,their safety and reliability are ensured.
Research conclusions: ( 1) To reduce the workload of blasting,the form of short piling can be used in the artificial covering layer at bare rock bed. The depth into rock,that is calculated by using“Lalyqin hypothesis”in the short piling condition,can make sure their safety and reliability; ( 2) Because inability to accurately calculate the artificial covering layer for bridge pile and piles of lateral resistance platform,two constraint ways of hinge end and consolidation at the bottom of pile can be used for calculation. The actual results are between their two results; ( 3) If temporary bridge piles and platform piles can’t meet the safety and reliability requirements in an independent state,the connection between the two systems should be increased. The specifications,quantity and location of the connection system need to be analyzed by the overall analysis of system’s strength and stability.

Influence of Damage of Prestressed Strand in Hogging Moment Zone of Outside Beam on PC Bridge Structure

Research purposes: The hogging moment prestressed steel strands in outside beams of a 32m 6 - span and 1 - connection simply supported - to - continuous T girder bridge were damaged in many places due to the construction negligence. As the bridge was not open to traffic at that time,the influence of the damage on the bridge structure was not clear and definite. Therefore,it was necessary to calculate the influence of the damage on the bridge structure for ensuring the bridge quality and the bridge safety in the later service period.
Research conclusions: By using the ANSYS9. 0 program for modeling,the I - level lane load was imposed and the calculation and analysis were made for the nine construction phases. By using the changes of the cross - section deflection,the upper and lower edge stress of the middle cross - section and the upper and lower edge stress of the bearing cross - section,the damage influence of the prestressed strand in hogging moment zone of outside beam on the bridge structure was evaluated. From the calculation it was known there was a little influence of such kind damage on the bridge structure and only some cracks would happen on the concrete protection wall in bearing place.

Research on Application of Seismic Reduction and Isolation Technology in Bridge of Passenger Dedicated Line

Research purposes: As a bridge of one passenger dedicated line had to cross the seismic faults belt,it was necessary to research the reasonable theory and method for designing the bridge and research the effective and safe anti - seismic or seismic reduction and isolation measures for the purpose of completing the anti - seismic design of the bridge in the developing regional geological fault zone.
Research conclusions: Based on the actual geological conditions,the response spectrum method and the direct integration method were used to calculate and compare the response difference of the bridge between using the ordinary basin bearing and using the double spherical isolation bearing. The results showed that using the double spherical isolation bearing could much reduce the horizontal seismic force of the low pier top and meet the requirements of the big displacement of bridge structure within the regional geological fault zone. It provided the basis for optimal design of the bridge substructure,producing good economic and social benefits. This was the first time to apply the double spherical isolation bearing in railway bridge project in the geological fault zone and it would provide the reference to the similar works and provide the technical support to the revisions of the design specifications and standards.

Research on Application of Three - bench and Six Short - range Method in Construction of Railway Tunnel

Research purposes: The section between Sandu and Wutong of Guiyang - Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line passes through the plateau slope erosion,tectonic and low mountain areas with the complex and changeable geological structures. There area many surrounding rocks of IV grade and V grade in the area of the tunnel body,so there is high construction risk. For excavation of the 138 - 146 m2 section railway tunnel with weak surrounding rock,the reasonable construction method must be adopted for safe construction of the tunnel.
Research conclusions: For construction of the large section IV and Ⅴgrades weak surrounding rock tunnel of the Guiyang - Guangzhou Railway,based on summing up the experience of the traditional three - bench construction method,the three - bench and six short - range method was used in construction to divide the excavation section into three benches and six working faces with synchro - construction on the upper,middle and low benches. With this method,the deficiencies of lots of procedures,long construction period,insufficient turbulence on the surrounding rock in using CRD method and twine sidewall method can be overcome and the construction period can be shortened by machinery construction. The construction practice shows using this method can guarantee the construction security and enhance the construction process.

Research on Choosing Boundary Range of Surrounding Rock in Numerical Simulation of Tunnel Excavation

Research purposes: The numerical simulation of tunnel has been widely used. In the numerical simulation process,how to choose the reasonable boundaries for the project and how to balance the relationship between the calculation precision and the occupation of the internal memory of the computer and how to choose the perfect combined pont are the important parts in the modeling for tunnel. This paper presents the four kinds of the numerical simulations of the two times tunnel span,three times tunnel span,five times tunnel span and eight times tunnel span for choosing the boundary range. The general boundary range of the surrounding rock model is offered based on the comparison of results of the first principal stress,displacement and plastic zone.
Research conclusions: It is shown that the effect of different boundary ranges of tunnel on the surrounding stress field and displacement field can be ignored in simulation. It is also suggested that the boundary range of the three times tunnel is used for the numerical simulation and structure design,and it can get good analysis result and safe structure design.

Treatment Technology for Mud Bursting of Baiyun Tunnel of Nanning -Guangzhou Railway in Fault

Research purposes: In the construction of the Baiyun Tunnel of the Nanning - Guangzhou Railway,the small mud bursting appeared in faultand and the large - scale mud and water bursting happened to cause the casualties and disaster when clearing silt.
Research conclusions: ( 1) The advanced geological forecast is an effective means of prevention of mud and water bursting,so it must be done in construction. When the mud burst happens,the evaluation must be done for the risk of cleaning silt,otherwise it is dangerous. ( 2) The grouting method was successfully used for treatment of the dyke of the mud and water bursting and for construction of the tunnel in the fault fracture zone safely. The treatment of the fault fracture zone of the tunnel was conducted by taking the technique measures of piling broken stones for protection,circuitous construction and treatment of main tunnel,and it would be as the reference to the similar engineering.

Numerical Analysis of Weak Enriched Water Surrounding Rock Grade VI Tunnel Under - passing Road

Research purposes: According to the difficulties in construction of weak enriched water surrounding rock grade VI Jiangmen Tunnel,the suitable advance reinforcement mode and tunnel excavation method were chosen. in order to ensure construction safety and road operation safety.
Research conclusions: ( 1) The horizontal churning jet pile was used for the advance reinforcement,and the large pipe roof in advance and CRD method were used for excavation to safeguard the tunnel under - passing the road. ( 2) With the finite element calculation software,the numerical simulation was made for the whole process of the tunnel excavation,the analysis was made for change trends of the stress and displacement of the surrounding rocks during excavation to decide the key points of the construction control and monitoring ground deformation. ( 3) The steel frame needed to be enclosed in time for a loop to prevent appearance of large displacement and floor swell.

Research on Optimal Active Control of Railway Caternary

Research purposes: In order to research the influence of the active control on the property of the railway catenary,the finite element model for the catenary is established,the whole quality of the model and the stiffness matrix data are calculated with Ansys software,the whole quality and whole stiffness matrix are resolved with KMExtract program. With these,the dynamics equation is established for the catenary. In order to simulate the system and design the controller easily,the modal reduction order method is used to reduce the system order and transform it into the equation of state for designing the LQR controller for the system,and the simulation analysis of the states of the catenary before and after taking the active control is made with siimulink.
Research conclusions: The research shows: ( 1) Taking the active control of the catenary can improve its vibration property. The maximum and minimum vibration values of the catenary can be cut by above 90%,and the mean square deviation can be cut by 70%. Therefore,the system property is much improved. ( 2) The active or semi - active control of the catenary becomes the important way to improve the catenary property when it is difficult to improve the catenary property by changing the catenary parameters.

So it is necessary to discuss the scheme for realize the train - ground wide band wireless communication for the purpose of providing the basis and reference to plan and optimization of the schemes for wide band wireless network of the China's railway.
Research conclusions: Now the LTE technology is an ideal technology for the train - ground wide band wireless communication. It not only can provide the safe and reliable train - ground wide band wireless communication,but also it is of the development trend of the train - ground wide band communication. At the same time,it tallies with the gradual tactics and procedure from the GSM - R to LTE - R defined by the International Union of Railways.

Combined with the bridge pile foundation underpinning project of the tunnel in the section between Hongling Station and Laojie Station of Line 3 of Shenzhen metro for crossing the Guangzhou -Shenzhen High - speed Railway,in this paper,the introduction is given in details to the difficult points and key points in design of the pile foundation underpinning of the railway continuous girder and continuous rigid frame bridge,to the construction monitoring and to the adjustment of linear design for providing the references to pile foundation underpinning of existing railway bridge under the complex construction environment and complicated geological conditions.
Research conclusions: According to the key points and difficult points in design of the pile foundation underpinning project,the relative measures should be taken and the works of informatization management and the system control should be well done to guarantee the smooth implementation of the pile foundation underpinning and bridge structure safety.

Construction Technology of the Loess Subway Tunnel in Special Geological Conditions

Research purposes: TBased on summing up the construction method and the measures used for the loess tunnel of Xi'an subway tunnel and treatments of the water bursting when the shaft passing through the F3 ground fissures,this paper offers a set of reasonable,feasible and safe construction methods to ensure the safety of the shaft and tunnel construction for accumulating the experience to the similar projects.
Research conclusions: Application of the churning jet pile outside the shaft makes the ground water and water bursting from the fissures going out from the outside of the water curtain of the churning jet pile. At the same time,by taking the measures of the grouting reinforcement in the shaf,the precipitation in shafts,the partial excavation,the grouting down outside shafts by the flower arrangement tubes,the back cover of concrete bottom of the shaft,the drainage of groundwater in advance and the precipitation inside the tunnel,the problems of the water bursting in construction of the shaft and tunnel in the water - enrich coarse strata of loess areas are overcome.

Study on Distribution Law AND Observation of Ground Temperature in Spring along Xi’an Subway

Research purposes: Xi'an is the first city to build the subway in loess in China,with a little information on the distribution law of the ground temperature in the subway buried depth range. The study was done on the long - term distribution law of ground temperature of the four typical geomorphic units along the Xi'an subway to obtain the constant temperature strata position of the different geomorphic units and the distribution laws of the ground temperature in Spring for providing the reference to the air - conditioning design for the subway station and sectional tunnel.
Research conclusions: The analysis and study were done on the observation information of nine observation points along the Xi'an subway. The study results showed that the constant temperature strata position of the Zaohe first terrace was in the 10 meters under the ground surface with the temperature of 15 ℃,the constant temperature strata position of the loess ridge was in the 9 m under the ground surface with the temperature of 17 ~ 18 ℃,the constant temperature strata position of Weihe first terrace was in 10 meters under the ground surface with the temperature of 15. 5 ℃,and the constant temperature strata position of Weihe third terrace was in 9 meters under the ground surface with the temperature of the 16. 5 ℃.

Economic Analysis of Henggang Double - deck Vehicle Depot of Line 3 of Shengzhen Metro

Research purposes: The Henggang double - deck vehicle depot of Line 3 of Shenzhen metro is the first depot with double - deck arrangement in China,with the comprehensive property development on roof to make intensive use of the urban land resource as much as possible. Through analyzing and researching the construction cost and the economic benefits of the Henggang double - deck vehicle depot,the rationality of the Henggang double - deck vehicle depot in technology and economy is verified to offer a new though on building the metro vehicle depot and property development for the other vehicle depot.
Research conclusions: ( 1) By using double - deck design,the land area occupied by the depot is cut by 35%,saving lots of land. ( 2) As the development area of the bare land increases in the double - deck design,the whole plot ratio of the property development increases. The business profit of the double - deck is 2 times of the single - deck. ( 3) The concept of construction and property development of the Henggang double - deck vehicle depot project has high applied value.

Analysis of Differences between Chinese and Japanese Management and Concept for Highway Design

Research purposes: Based on the realization of Algeria East - West highway project,this paper compared and analyzed the differences in the design management and design concept of Chinese and Japanese contractors. It also reviewed our own design work and gave out several suggestions for the future similar projects.
Research conclusions: ( 1) The design should be incorporated into the core part of project management. The group or project manage department should hire sufficient experts for direct management,while the design institute should open the mind and coordinate with the construction units to realize the integration of design and construction. ( 2) The design guidelines should be reflected from in accordance with the contract and benefits. The design standards,materials,technologies,design proposals of each discipline etc. ,should be evaluated s to maximize the benefits of the contractor.( 3) The general contractor should manage the design resources,arouse the enthusiasm of designers and mobilize them to play the role of external surveillance,so that they can cooperate closely on the design in accordance with the goal of contractor.
