ENHANCE THE CONSTRUCTION OF EASTWARD RAILAY PASSAGES FOR CHUAN-YU RAILWAY

The suggestion has been proposed for constructing the Rong Yu-Hu Railway with total length near1y 2200 km for Rong-Hu Railway and nearly 2100km for Yu-Hu Railway. This railway passage consists of the existing railway,the railways in course of construction and the newly-built railways. Besides the railways in course of construction,it is necessary to construct newly-built railways nearly 720 km,increase No. I line for existing railways nearly 450 km and enlarge capacity for single-line railways nearlys 430 km. The whole passage passes through Sichuan,Chongqing,Hubei,Jiangxi,Anhui,Jiangsu to arrive at Shanghai,connecting five provinces and two municipalities directly under the Central Government with three provincial capitals and thirteen regional cities. Therefore,the traffic conditions of the railway networks arc improved,such as the travelling distance between Wuhan and Shanghai may be decreased more than 200 km,the traffic load of busy sections in trunk lines of networks may be reduced,so as to make the trunk lines unimpeded and the traffic flow more reasonable.

EXPLORATION ON SEVERAL PROBLEMS CONCERNED WITH RAISING SPEED ON EXISTING RAILWAY LINES

Raising speed on existing railway lines to meet the needs of railways facing on the market has become a common programme. During the survey and design for raising speed on existing railway lines,the conceptions of "up to speed" and "raising speed" should be taken into attention to distinguish. The final targets of them are to increase the travelling speed and to reduce the travelling time. In order to increase the travelling speed,the comprehensive measures should be adopted and the treatment of follwing relations should be taken into attention,such as the relation between investment and benefit of engineering project,between short-term installation and long-term planning between reconstruction of civil engineering and renewal of portable equipment,between raising speed of passenger trains and freight trains,etc.

APPLICATION OF REMOTE SENSING WITH THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE TO FEASIBILITY STUDY OF DIAN-ZANG RAILWAY

With ERDAS IMAGIVE 8. 4 software,through rectification,digital orthographical maps inlaying,artificial color-composition to Dian-Zang railway by generating DEM and compounding with remote sensing image,the paper generates a three-dimensional geomorphologic image and visible flight film by extracting information of geological engineering disasters and geological structure. The feasibility of newly-built Dian-Zang railway from the viewpoint of geological engineering has been evaluated.

By 8-joint isoparametric clement spatial analysis of Super SAP software,this paper expounds the results of the maximum stress and minimum stress relating to the sections of the end arch.

The Jiazhuqing Tunnel in Nanning-Kunming Railway is a kind of strong pressured tunnel which was the first tunnel designed and constructed by our country. During its design and construction,the principles of rock machanics were reflected fully for guiding the design and construction,so as to obtain successful effect. The whole process for applying several important formulas of rock mechanics are described in this paper,and are expounded through the practical construction works of the Jiazhuqing Tunnel. Some traditional theories are described and evaluated also,and there arc new ideas on application of the rock mechanics. It provides reference for the popularization of rock mechanics on the engineering applications.

The optimal selection of route alignment for high speed railway is determined mainly by the geometric route design concerned with topography,urban and environment characteristics,while the environmental impact assessment is absolutely necessary. The optimal route alignment is selected based on the considerations of the factors on the separation of residential regions,environment,geologic technology,geometric design ,etc. The geographic information system (GIS) and the map overlap method arc introduced briefly,and the particular procedures of the environmental impact assessment (EIA)and the optimal selection of route alignment arc introduced in detail in this paper. At the same time,several foreign practical examples for applying GIS in route selection arc proposed,which prove the superiority of applying GIS as an auxiliary decision tool for optimal selection of route alignment. It provides a rapid multicriteria evaluation of route alignment,having potential value in application scope.

Combined with the design of catenary in several electrified railways with lightning defects more frequently and the situations of occurred lightning defects,the overall analyses on lightning mechanism,antilightning level,etc,are put forward and the weak links for lightning protection have been obtained. It is necessary for sustained development of the enterprises by applying the "four new" technologies to raise benefits of enterprises. Therefore,we should:(1)establish fully quite new cost idea in operation of products and raise the technical contents in the economic benefits,(2)enlarge the working extent to promote technical and management innovations,(3)put "let client satisfactory" as the largest target of the enterprises,(4)establish the famous brand idea and strengthen the superiority of professional construction,(5)develop the recommendation,training and technical support for technical talents through multi-means,(6)advance the thinking about construction and extra- advance making the technical reserves in good order,(7)put forward the "three unification",leading by typical examples to raise the overall construction management level and the construction quality,(8)based on personnel,pay attention to the methods for making management works in good order. These transformations in eight aspects are very necessary for the long-term development of the enterprises.
